Nice Saturdays / Lindos Sabados, by Machus, deckhand

what a wonderful Saturday we are having! Sun is shining, wheather is sweet, no working day, just cleaning around. Days like this one makes you forget all these night watches wake ups, when you don't want to stop your nice dreaming; makes you forget all these working hours on deck with the healing of the ship breaking your stability and your patience; makes you forget about your wet feet and clothes that seems never dry again...when you can enjoy one of this marvellous sailing days, everything become nice again in your mood. Today we sail fast, riding the waves, filling the sails, feeding ours souls with the magic of the sea.

Life at sea is quite good. Nothing to do with our society habits inland. you need to go to the hair-dresser? Just go outside, on deck and let the wind do it in its style, while you enjoy your coffee time!! You need to buy new trousers? Just stitch your old ones after you repair this ripped sail again...! You need a mirror to be sure that you are fancy? Just see the smiling faces of the watch party when you go to the heads (WC) with yours eyes still closed in the middle of the night! You need to have a shower to be clean and healthy? Just take your bucket, fill it with fresh ocean water and let's rinse your body on the bow with the nice and refreshing marine spring water!

We have also some vicious...Mott is creating "Grenada's chocolate addicts" on board... Since we loaded this tasty chocolate in our holds in Grenada, we have everyday a delicious dosis of chocolate "a volonte". He is so generous with the crew members! He is proud of "creating Grenada's chocolate addicts", let's see the following states of addiction...what will we do one day with our chocolate's ration? Ohh!!! I dont't want to imagine! By the way, tomorrow is his birthday at sea! We are going to have a great celebration, he is worth it! Thanks Mott!

Lindos Sabados

que bonito sabado estamos teniendo!!el sol brilla, el tiempo es bueno, dia sin trabajo, solo limpiar alrededor. Dias como este te hacen olvidar todas esos despertares para la guardia nocturna, cuando no quieres dejar tu sueno; te hacen olvidar todas esas horas de trabajo en cubierta con el barco escorado rompiendo tu estabilidad y tu paciencia; te hacen olvidar tus pies y ropas humedas que parecen no secarse nunca jamas... cuando puedes disfrutar uno de estos maravillosos dias de vela, todo vuelve a ponerte de buen animo otra vez. Hoy navegamos raudos, cabalgando las olas, llenando las velas, alimentando nuestros espiritus con la magia del mar.

La vida en el mar es bastante buena. Nada que ver con nuestras costumbres sociales en tierra. necesitas ir al peluquero estilista? tan solo sal fuera, en cubierta y deja que el viento lo haga en su propio estilo mientras disfrutas de tu pausa para el cafelito!!necesitas unos pantalones nuevos? solo tienes que remendar los viejos despues de reparar la vela rajada otra vez...!!necesitas un espejo para estar segura de que estas guapita??solo tienes que mirar las sonrisas en las caras del equipo de guardia cuando vas al water con tus ojos todavia cerraditos en mitad de la noche!! necesitas ducharte para estar limpio y saludable?? solo coje tu cubito, llenalo con agua fresca del oceano y riega tu cuerpo en la proa con linda y refrescante agua de la fuente marina!!

Tambien tenemos algunos vicios...Mott esta creando" adictos al chocolate de Granada" a bordo... desde que cargamos este sabroso chocolate en nuestras bodegas en Granada, tenemos cada dia una deliciosa dosis de chocolate " a volonte". Es tan generoso con la tripulacion!! El esta orgulloso de su creacion de "adictos al chocolate de Granada", vamos a ver los siguientes estados de adiccion... que haremos un dia sin nuestra racion de chocolate??ohh!!!no quiero ni imaginarlo!!A proposito, manana es su cumpleanos en el mar!!vamos a celebrarlo a lo grande, se lo merece!! Gracias Mott!!
