Arrival of Tres Hombres in Grenada
Today the ship has arrived: what an exciting day indeed! we got up and heard someone had spotted the ship already – it’s a remarkable ship so that was not surprisingly. The email from the ship confirmed their arrival so we drove down to St George to meet the captain and crew.
First stop at customs, the office in Port St Louis where captain Jorne and crew members Anne and Teo were already clearing-in. 15 passports, 4 crew members leaving the ship in Grenada and 2 getting on; Mott and Charlie. We meet shortly with Jeroen, who will organize the tugboat to bring the Tres Hombres to her final destination in the harbor, right in the middle of the Carenage.
Here’s a very quick and non-edited video of the way the entered the harbor – better views will follow
We get on board meet the crew of the Tres Hombres who are very welcoming, enthusiastic and full of stories about the trip so far – which has been very rocky as we have seen on the tracking screen… But the spirit is very positive, of course they are real sailors
Captain Jorne gives them a welcome word to Grenada and a brief description of their stay here. Mott is introduced and tells something about his life and chocolate in Grenada and his dream coming true to have the first Fair Transport coming up now. More to follow on that…
Please leave a message. We will sent it to the ship.
